GOD GIVE ME WISDOM

I Kings 3.3-15
Last night I dreamed the strangest dream
I dreamed God came to visit little old me
God said, "Whatever you want I'll give to you"
And I knew I had some thinking to do.
So I thought and thought and I thought some more
Then I decided what I would ask for
I prayed, " I am Your servant, God Almighty.
Since you asked, please give me...
A new bike! -no wait, I can think of something better
A new computer game -no wait, that's something dad could get
Trick or treat every night of the year - no wait, I might get sick
A giant trampoline for me and all of my friends, yeah, that's what I could pick!
But you know, all that stuff can get old and break, that understood,
On second thought, I'm gonna ask God for something that will last and do some good
God, give me wisdom so I can love your people well
God, give me wisdom, and I hope that you can tell
I want to walk in your ways for your kingdom
God, give me wisdom
Well, when I think about that dream
Where God came to visit little old me
I know God can give us even more
And greater things than we could ask for
So I thought and thought and I thought some more
Then I decided what I would ask for
I want to ask for things, when I pray,
That won't get old, make me sick or break
God, give me wisdom so I can love your people well
God, give me wisdom, and I hope that you can tell
I want to walk in your ways for your kingdom
